Sales Conference

– Tenerife, Spain

Contracted by our client to plan and manage their biennial sales conference and awards ceremony, we took 62 sales reps from the UK to sunny Tenerife.

The event was held over three days and we were responsible for flights, transfers, venue and activities. We contracted the beautiful Gran Hotel Bahía del Duque Resort in Costa Adeje and upon arrival delegates were treated to an arrival cocktail (alcoholic or non) and in the evening a welcome dinner was hosted in the hotel’s main restaurant of which we secured the private area on a large terrace which gives extraordinary views of the Island of La Gomera.

The second day began with breakfast at leisure and the conference was held in one of the hotels meeting rooms set in cabaret style.

The conference included various breakout sessions which were held in the smaller meeting rooms and a buffet lunch in the main restaurant. As AV requirements were limited – microphones, screens and projectors – we used the hotel’s in-house AV team, providing them with a full brief. In the evening, a cocktail reception was held in the hotel and then delegates were transferred to an offsite restaurant in the city. In the spirit of the location, the menu consisted of a selection of Spanish tapas and wine and delegates were also treated to a live singer.

The following day, the conference concluded early afternoon with an optional team building activity of whale watching on a catamaran which 50% of the group took part in. Aboard the catamaran were nets for those who wished to sun bathe during the journey (as the weather was so beautiful these were fully utilised) and en-route the boat stopped in a quiet bay where the group could view the sea life including a number of dolphins.

Those that did not attend the activity had free leisure time.

The day ended with a Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony which took place at ‘Golf Las Américas’ which was decorated with round tables, centerpieces, a dance floor and LED lighting. The evening featured a drinks reception on the terrace where delegates enjoyed a performance by a Spanish Tuna Trio. Dinner was a four-course meal with drinks and the awards ceremony conducted by the company director. The evening and the conference ended with delegates hitting the dance floor with the DJ playing the finest in older and modern music.
